Colored Snow Foam: Show and Substance

A colour foam is first of all a foam. Before anything else it has to hold on the panel long enough to soften traffic film, and it has to rinse away completely. Our VIP range - Active Foam, Snow Foam, Cloud Foam and the coloured versions - is built on the same surfactant base, so the pink, blue, yellow, red and neon variants clean exactly like the classic white foam.

How to use it. Rinse the vehicle with water first; foam applied on a dry, hot panel dries out and leaves residue. Set the foam lance so that the surface is fully covered, then let the foam dwell for two to four minutes. Do not let it dry. Rinse from the bottom up with plenty of water.

Does the colour stain? The pigments we use are water soluble and rinse off with the foam. Trouble only starts if the foam is left to dry in direct sun, which is bad practice with any foam, coloured or not.

Why it is worth it. A coloured pre-wash is the one part of the process the customer can see from the waiting area. Car washes that alternate colours by day of the week report that customers notice, photograph and come back. The chemistry sells the clean; the colour sells the wash.
